What we collect and why
Your account
Your name, username or email, and language — to sign you in and show your account. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password.
What you enter for your restaurant
The menu (foods, offers, prices, photos), halls, tables and kitchens; orders with what was ordered, totals and payments; customers and delivery drivers (names, phone numbers, addresses); staff, their salaries and attendance; inventory and expenses. This is stored on our server so every device of your restaurant stays in sync, and on each device in an encrypted local database so the app works offline.
Devices
A device ID, device name and platform (for example "iPhone"), so the restaurant owner can approve or remove the devices that use the restaurant.
Notifications
A notification token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, so we can send your device the notifications you allowed.
Food photos
Photos you add to foods and categories. Depending on your restaurant's setting they stay only on your device, or are stored with Cloudflare R2 so all your restaurant's devices can show them.
Camera
Used only when you take a photo of a food. Nothing is recorded or uploaded unless you save the photo.
Printers
The names of your printers are used to send kitchen tickets and receipts. Printing happens on your own devices; nothing you print is sent to us.
Activity log
Changes inside a restaurant (who changed what, and when) are logged so the owner can review them.
Who can see your data
- Your restaurant: the owner and employees, each limited to the features the owner allows.
- Service providers that run the app for us, only to provide it: Google Firebase (sign-in, notifications), DigitalOcean (our server) and Cloudflare (network and food photos).
- We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). The data on each device is encrypted. New devices must be approved. Backups are encrypted with a key that belongs to your restaurant, so only your restaurant can open them.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your restaurant's data while your restaurant uses BinaMenu. The owner can delete records in the app at any time. To delete your account, or all of your restaurant's data, email [email protected] from your account's email; we delete it within 30 days. Encrypted backups you saved or shared yourself stay where you put them.
Children
BinaMenu is a business app and isn't meant for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
